Billesley Blast Circuit

The Billesley blast was launched last week and to aid the teachers we have set up a circuit of exercises that are easily accessible and can be done standing up.

Situated around our playground are 6 simple exercises that all the children can have fun taking part in while improving their physical and mental state.

Primary Panathlon

Wednesday 7th November Billesley entered their first Panathlon. A Panathlon is a series of activities set up in a circuit in which the children play each one for a certain amount of time, then rotated so that they play everyone.

The activities included Boccia, New age Kurling and lots of other adapted activities.

We took a squad of 6 children who thoroughly enjoyed their experience.

Kane said “I’ve never been given a medal before”

The children experienced a wide range of skills and challenges throughout the day.

Priory Tennis Coaching Session

On Monday 5th November we were given the brilliant opportunity to be coached by some newly trained coaches. It is a program that focuses on girls engagement and enthusiasm for Tennis. We took a mixture of 18 very excited year 1 and 2 girls.

The girls were ecstatic to be traveling on a double decker bus.

They were introduced to many different skills using lots of equipment and methods.

The girls then finished with a relay race testing the skills they had learnt.

Aleeza said “I really enjoyed when we had to get into groups and work as a team to do the skills”.

Thank You so much to Claire from Edgbaston Priory Tennis for inviting us and giving the girls such a brilliant opportunity and experience.
